Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
FlightsDash ("we", "us", or "our") operates the FlightsDash.com website and the FlightsDash mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and who we share it with.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Flight search inputs. Origin and destination airports (IATA codes), travel dates, number of passengers, and fare class. We use this only to retrieve flight results for your query.
- Home airport preference. If you use the mobile app, the IATA code of the home airport you select during onboarding is stored locally on your device.
Information collected automatically
- IP address. Your IP address is processed by our server to apply per-IP rate limiting (a small number of searches per minute) to protect the Service from abuse. It is not stored long-term in a user-identifiable form.
- Session cookie. When you submit a flight search, we set a short-lived cookie containing a random search token so that we can verify the request originated from our search form. The cookie is functional only.
- reCAPTCHA risk signals. The home page embeds Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to distinguish humans from bots. Google may collect device and browser signals subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Product analytics. We use PostHog to record anonymous product events (page views, search submissions, clicks) tied to an anonymous device identifier. We do not link these events to your name or email.
- Crash reports. We use Sentry to capture application errors and stack traces. Crash reports may include your IP address and the URL on which the error occurred.
2. How we use information
- To return flight results for the search you submit.
- To prevent abuse of our search endpoint (rate limiting, bot detection).
- To measure aggregate product usage and improve the Service.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
3. Third parties we share information with
- FlightAPI.io — receives your search parameters (origin, destination, dates, passengers, fare class) to return flight availability and pricing.
- Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise — receives device and browser signals from your visit to the home page for bot detection.
- PostHog — receives anonymous product analytics events.
- Sentry — receives crash reports.
- Skyscanner — when you click a flight booking link, you are redirected to Skyscanner.com to complete your booking. Skyscanner's own privacy policy governs information collected after that redirect.
- Impact.com — our Skyscanner affiliate link includes Impact.com tracking parameters so that bookings you complete on Skyscanner can be attributed to FlightsDash for commission purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Affiliate disclosure
FlightsDash participates in the Skyscanner affiliate program via the Impact.com network. When you click a flight booking link from FlightsDash and complete a booking on Skyscanner, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not influence which flights are shown or the order in which they are presented.
5. Data retention
- Search inputs are not stored after the search response is returned, except as transient entries in server access logs.
- Server access logs (including IP addresses) are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Anonymous PostHog analytics events are retained according to PostHog's standard retention.
- Sentry crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
- The session cookie expires automatically after your browser session ends.
6. Your choices
- You can use most of the Service without providing any personal information.
- You can block cookies in your browser. The Service will still work, but you may be asked to re-verify reCAPTCHA more often.
- You may request access to or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
9. Contact
